Theme Understanding that money should serve your purpose - not define your worth.

Scripture Focus

  • 1 Timothy 6:10 (NLT): “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.”

  • Hebrews 13:5 (NIV): “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have.”

Reflection Prompts

  • Do you see money as a resource or as security?

  • What emotions rise up when you think about your finances — fear, pride, anxiety, confidence?

  • How does loving money differ from using money wisely?

  • What does contentment look like for you right now?

  • How can trusting God with your needs help you find balance in spending and saving?

Journal Prompt

Write about a time when money (or the lack of it) influenced your peace of mind. How did that experience challenge or strengthen your faith in God’s provision?

Prayer

Lord,

Remind me that my value isn’t tied to my possessions or bank account. Help me to see money as a tool for purpose, not power. Teach me to trust Your provision and to find joy in contentment.

Next Steps

Further Study: Reflect on Matthew 6:24 and Philippians 4:11–13.

Action: Choose one financial area to surrender to God — giving, saving, or spending.

Accountability: Partner with someone who can pray with you about financial peace.

Practice: Replace financial anxiety with gratitude each morning — thank God for what you already have.
