Theme Recognizing that financial wisdom begins with discipline, honesty, and stewardship learned early in life.

Scripture Focus

  • Proverbs 22:7 (NIV): “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.”

  • Luke 16:10 (NLT): “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.”

Reflection Prompts

  • What lessons did you learn about money growing up - through words, or simply by watching others?

  • How have those lessons shaped your current financial habits or mindset?

  • Why is financial transparency within families important?

  • In what ways can you model healthy stewardship for those who look up to you?

  • How does understanding debt as bondage change your approach to spending and saving?

Journal Prompt

Describe an early memory that shaped your understanding of money - maybe a moment when you earned your first dollar or spent impulsively. Reflect on how that experience still influences your financial choices today.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for entrusting me with resources to manage wisely. Help me to be faithful in the small things so that I can honor You with greater responsibility. Break any unhealthy habits I’ve carried from the past and teach me to walk in wisdom, discipline, and gratitude.

Amen.

Next Steps

Further Study: Read Proverbs 6:6-8 and Matthew 25:14-30 to understand diligence and stewardship.

Action: Track every expense this week - not for guilt, but for awareness.
