Theme Integrity interrupts generational patterns of ethical compromise.

Scripture Focus

  • Ezekiel 18:20 (NIV)“The one who sins is the one who will die.”

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come.”

Reflection Prompts

  • What ethical behaviors were normalized in your upbringing?

  • How have those patterns shown up in your adult life?

  • Why does unchecked unethical behavior lose its sense of conviction over time?

  • What does it mean to end the cycle with you?

  • How does Christ empower you to live differently?

Journal Prompt

Write about a pattern you are determined to break - whether related to honesty, finances, or accountability. What will change because you chose integrity?

Prayer

Father God,

I thank You that I am not bound by my past or my upbringing. Through Christ, I am free to choose righteousness. Give me courage to break unhealthy cycles and wisdom to establish new, godly ones.

Amen.

Next Steps

  • Further Study: Read Deuteronomy 30:19–20.

  • Action: Identify one generational pattern you are actively ending.

  • Accountability: Share your commitment with someone you trust.

  • Practice: Replace justification with responsibility when mistakes arise.
